Designed to be oriented vertically, the cover can accommodate up to 45 configurations, whether GFCI, Duplex, Switch, or Round in sizes ranging from 1-1/4" to 2-1/8".
Adherence to the NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE 2014 EDITION 406.9 Receptacles in Damp or Wet Locations (B) Wet Locations. (1) Receptacles of 15 and 20 Amperes in a Wet Location, this weatherproof cover ensures that 15- and 20-ampere, 125- and 250-volt receptacles installed in a wet location have an enclosure that remains weatherproof, regardless of whether the attachment plug cap is inserted. The outlet box hood installed for this purpose is listed and identified as "extra-duty," and all 15- and 20-ampere, 125- and 250-volt non-locking-type receptacles are of the listed weather-resistant type.
The deep 5-1/4" design provides ample room to accommodate 12 AWG or heavier cable, while the non-metallic clear frost finish enhances the overall aesthetic. With its patented multi-configuration design, this weatherproof cover can be utilized in up to 45 different configurations, including GFCI, Duplex, Switch, or Round options.
Complying with UL Extra Duty standards for wet locations and the National Electrical Code, this cover is UL File No. E362580 certified. The lockable design, along with the included gasket and mounting hardware, ensures a secure and weatherproof installation. However, the outlet box, lock, and receptacle are not included, and must be purchased separately.
